Each December, as the city settles into the festive season, the community behind Cars N Coffee Liverpool turns its attention to those who may need a little extra support. This year the group continues its long running tradition with a December meetup, a food collection and a dedicated convoy that will travel directly to Micah Liverpool.

The event will take place on Sunday 14th December from 9 am until 12 pm at Chung Ku Restaurant. At around 12:30 pm, once the meetup has finished, a convoy will leave from the restaurant and head straight to Micah. Anyone wishing to join the convoy is invited to contact the organisers in advance.

During the meetup everyone is encouraged to bring donations such as food, basic household items or toiletries and leave them inside the restaurant. There will also be an option to make a financial contribution on the day. Every item and every pound given will directly support Micah Liverpool, Marybone Community Centre Food Project and Speke Community Baptist Church.

Examples of items that make a real difference include: tinned food, pasta, rice, cereal, long life milk, tea, coffee and simple cupboard essentials. Toiletries such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant and sanitary products are also very welcome. Household basics like washing up liquid or laundry detergent are needed too. Anything practical, useful and easy to store will be passed on to the organisations, which will make sure the support reaches local people in the right way.

The convoy will deliver the main collection to Micah Liverpool shortly after the meetup. In the days that follow, Marybone Community Centre Food Project and Speke Community Baptist Church will receive their support using both the donated items and the funds gathered during the event. This ensures that all three organisations receive meaningful help at a time when it is most needed.

The December collection has become one of the most valued moments in the Cars N Coffee calendar. Families, volunteers and enthusiasts from every part of the motoring scene come together at Chung Ku in the morning before setting off to deliver not only supplies but also a sense of care, kindness and community spirit.

Last year the response was remarkable. Cars were filled from front to back, volunteers helped organise the donations and deliveries were made across the city. The photographs captured the generosity and warmth that define this tradition, showing what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.

As winter approaches, the organisers invite everyone who can contribute. Every gesture matters. The team looks forward to welcoming the community on 14th December and to continuing a tradition that reaches far beyond the cars themselves.
